The relationship between vitamin D and fibroids is an area of ongoing research. Some studies indicate that women with lower vitamin D levels may be more likely to develop uterine fibroids. Vitamin D may influence cellular growth and other processes involved in fibroid development, but it is not currently considered a proven treatment for fibroids. Women experiencing heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic discomfort, frequent urination, or abdominal pressure should discuss their symptoms with a healthcare provider.
